LINEAR SCREENS PARTICLE SEPARATION

Manhattan offers Linear Screen products, manufactured and engineered at its facilities or through strategic partnership manufacturing units.

A breakaway from the traditional gravity take-up is the redesign of the screen cloth tensioning mechanism. Whereas many competitors use gravity take-up, this cannot compensate for uneven cloth length. Manhattan’s design eliminates two pulleys from the unit and offers pneumatic tensioning of the tail pulley which is directly linked to the tracking system.

This renders the screen cloth shorter (more cost effective) and to a large extent prevents the screen cloth from creasing. The balance of the linear screen is custom designed to cope with material flow, effective screening and simple operation.

Besides the standard design 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 20, 24 and 30m² Linear Screens, Manhattan designs and manufactures Linear Screens generic to customer requirements.


Manhattan also offers the option of semi-assembled Linear Screens for containerization and all units under 9m² can be containerized fully assembled. This allows for easier transport to remote and difficult-access mining areas, globally.

main frame

The main frame is manufactured in mild steel, using standard pressed sections of angles and channels. The frame is of robust design, sufficiently stiffened to take the full torque and load of the drive system. The frame is painted to Client’s specifications with suitable primer and top coat layers. Paint thickness testing and paint quality assurance assure long life of steel sections.
